The Old World Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser raises money for the Cheshire Theatre and Meeting Hall project

CHESIRE — The Canandaigua hamlet of Cheshire was hopping Friday night, as folks from near and far came for the Old World Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser.

The annual dinner — well staffed with volunteers cooking in the kitchen, helping visitors with tickets and takeout, and waiting on and clearing tables — helps the Cheshire Community Action Team’s efforts to restore the Cheshire Theatre and Meeting Hall. The national and state historic venue dates back to the late 1800s and staged theatrical productions as well as community events such as this spaghetti dinner.
